Prabhu ji, among the ten offences to the Holy Name, one is: "To consider the names of demigods like Lord Shiva or Lord Brahma to be equal to or independent of the name of Lord Vishnu". I am not able to understand what exactly this means in practice. Does this mean that offering respect to Hanuman ji or Shiva ji, or reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, becomes an offence? Please explain what this offence actually refers to, and where the line is drawn.
प्रभु जी, नाम-अपराधों में एक अपराध यह है — "शिवजी या ब्रह्माजी जैसे देवताओं के नाम को भगवान विष्णु के नाम के समान या उनसे स्वतंत्र मानना।" मुझे इसका सही अर्थ समझ नहीं आ रहा है। क्या इसका मतलब यह है कि हनुमान जी या शिवजी को प्रणाम करना, या हनुमान चालीसा पढ़ना — अपराध हो जाता है? कृपया समझाइए कि यह अपराध वास्तव में किस बात के लिए है, और सीमा कहाँ है?
