The Gita Project has launched its new Saturday Sessions, an interactive initiative designed to help students aged 11–21 explore practical solutions to the challenges they face in everyday life through the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad-gita.
The first session commenced on 15 August 2026, with sessions scheduled every Saturday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM IST.
The initiative seeks to create a space where young people can openly reflect, question and discover practical approaches to challenges such as stress, anxiety, loneliness, peer pressure, comparison, anger and uncertainty.
Rather than presenting the Bhagavad-gita merely as an ancient philosophical text, the Saturday Sessions aim to connect its teachings with situations that students encounter in their academic, social and personal lives.
The sessions are led by Mr. Vijay Gopi Keshav, Founder of The Gita Project, who is an author, Life & Values Educator, mentor, speaker and BITS Pilani alumnus.
At the heart of the initiative is a simple message: “Discover the Friend who never leaves your side.” The sessions encourage students to explore the relationship between the timeless teachings of Krishna and the questions, pressures and choices they encounter today.
Students interested in joining the upcoming sessions can register through The Gita Project website. Registrations are currently open and are closing soon.

As part of the initiative, students can also begin reading the free e-book, The Friend in the Chariot, which serves as an introduction to the themes explored during the sessions.
